19 Aug Vana Tisanes Cold Brew DIY
Cold Brew Tea is about to be your new favorite afternoon treat!
The process of cold brewing tea enables you to have a much more smooth, sweet and less bitter cup of tisanes. A great thing about cold brewing your tea is that it’s almost impossible to over steep, so every cup is truly divine.
Here’s how to make your own at home:
Step 1: Choose Your Tea
We started with our Calm tisane.
Step 2: Measure Out Tea to Water Ratio
For every 8 oz of room temp water use 1 tablespoon of loose leaf.
Step 3: Layer Flavors
Get creative here. Add your favorite fresh fruits or herbs. For this cold brew, we added a slice of lemon and Calendula Flower to brighten the flavors.
Step 4: Steep Time
Once you have added your flavors, stir well and set it fridge in an airtight container. Allow tea to steep from anywhere between 12-24hrs.
Step 5: Finish and Sip
Finish making your cold brew by straining your tea with a strainer so all herbs and fruit is extracted. You can also add your favorite sweetener, so we added a couple drops of monk fruit extract. Serve it cold and enjoy!
